Berkeley International University is proud to continue its history of innovative degree programs and is very
pleased to expand into the Homeopathy area of Medicine. Through our links with Iran Homeopathic Learning
Centre and Dr. Kamran Jalali we are pleased to offer the following Programs of Study.

Conventional medicine has been found to contain some shortfalls in curing a large number of diseases and using
unorthodox methods which are now known as Complementary Alternative Medicine(CAM) the world Health
Organization(WHO) has initiated a special strategy (from 2002-2005) in order to organize , improve and use these
methods. According to statistical data, homeopathy is one of the most current and fastest growing of the group of
medical cures referred to as CAM.
For the BIU/IHLC Degree Programs we have developed two levels for homeopathic medicine education and training.
1. Preliminary course which leads to BSc and MSc in homeopathic medicine
2. Advanced course which leads to Ph.D. in Homeopathic medicine. All holders of MSc in homeopathic medicine
could apply for Doctorate level.
Ph.D. in Homeopathic Medicine – D.H.
Definition and Goals:
The goal of this course is to educate proficient homeopaths who are able to prescribe (offer) the suitable
homeopathic cure and give prospective patients a very high standard of treatment and care. In addition, they are
able to participate in educational course as a professor and teach homeopathy at the highest standard.
The course duration and credits:
According to ECCH protocol, the course duration is divided into contact study hours and home study (self study)
hours. The period of the course is at least three years which consists of two educational semesters for Advanced
Case Study Course (ACSC) ,two semesters for Research Based Course (RBC)and one semester for clinical course
(CC). Also, has been considered an additional period of time (at the most, equal to one semester) for dissertation. In
total, it is 512 hours and 1152 hours for Research Based Course and Dissertation.
The total course duration consists of 32 theoretical credits and 36 practical credits (each theoretical credit is 16
hours and each practical credit is 32 hours).
Total credit needed = 68 including dissertation
Entrance condition:
All holders of MSc in homeopathic Medicine.
1- Passing all final exams of two semesters and obtaining at least 60 percent of total scores of each module.
2- Preparation of eight articles for each semester of Research Based Course and obtaining at least B grade point for
each one.
3- Having at least 32 hours experience of teaching homeopathy.
4- Preparation of advanced 10 case reports.
4- Presenting a Dissertation in the field of homeopathy.
