DISTANCE LEARNING

With increased pressure and competition due to globalization, business people and career
orientated individuals find it impossible to attend a university for regular study programmes. Our
distance learning degrees and study programs enables individuals to obtain a well respected degree
or qualification without interrupting their work or business schedule. This allows students to maintain
their careers and schedules whilst studying, and after graduation seek promotion or more importantly
put to use the knowledge, skills and understanding they have acquired through studying with Berkeley
International University.

The flexibility of Distance Learning degrees and study programmes has allowed for the following

Study Duration

Students may enrol in our distance learning programs at any time. All programs are self-paced,
allowing the students to progress through their studies as rapidly or as slowly as their time and ability
permits. Nevertheless, to ensure a consistency in learning, the maximum study duration for BBA is
two years, MBA is one year, and PhD is two years.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

•       A student who has a Prior Learning achieved via classroom tutorial, vocational education,
professional experience, research, business training, or professional membership, may be granted
credits in our degree programs. This will enable the student to take fewer numbers of modules and
save tuition fees.
•      For assessment on your prior learning, please send verifiable documents, which acknowledge
your previous education and professional experience. Documents, which are not in English, must be
accompanied with an accurate English translation.

TEN STEPS TO OBTAIN YOUR RECOGNIZED DEGREE

1. Send an e-mail to us about your interest in studying one of our distance learning degree programs.
Our Registrar will reply to your e-mail and send you the application form.
2. Fill out the application form and send it back to us along with supporting documents of your Prior
Learning.
3.   Send your Registration fee to account number: Berkeley Australia International, / Account no.
10519949 / Branch no. 064001 / Commonwealth Bank / Brisbane Queensland Australia
4.   After receiving the Registration fee, we will assess your documents and inform you the number of
modules that you need to take.
5. Send the module fees to the account number mentioned in number 3.
6.   After receiving the module fees, we will send you the syllabus which outlines the course work,
suggested reading materials, and exams of each module. We will also assign a mentor to guide you
in your study.
7. Complete the exams and send them to your assigned mentor by e-mail.
8.   Our mentor will check your exams and give evaluation. If your exam results are not up to our
standard, our mentor will guide and give you consultation by e-mails so that you can redo the exams
and pass that particular module.
9.   After our mentor confirms that you have completed all of the exams and modules to a satisfactory
standard to pass, you then send the Certification fee to the account number mentioned in number 3.
10.After receiving the Certification fee, we will send you the certificate and transcript by air-mail
postage to your address.

DISTANCE LEARNING TUITION FEES

Prices for Distance learning / Open University vary Bachelor Degree to Doctorates and PhDs and are
comprised of

1.        Registration fee From US$ 300.00 dependant on the Qualification / Degree level
2.        Number of Modules - Number of modules required to complete the Degree after Credits are
offered (must apply to University for exact amount needed)
3.        Fees per module based on the Degree and Modules required
4.        Thesis/Dissertation fees Thesis/Dissertation for Master, Doctorate or Phd
5.        Certification fees - Graduating/ Certification and transcript fee

Notes:

•        The Registration fee is non-refundable. This fee includes assessment of documents.
•        The Module fees include syllabus, exam evaluation, and consultation with our mentor.
•        The Certification fees include certificate, transcript, and air mail postage.
